Collector Rullecoven Borgloon

Upgrading sewerage infrastructure, roads and public space for sustainable water management
In Borgloon, BESIX Infra is delivering the Collector Rullecoven project, a large-scale upgrade of the sewerage network, roads and public space. The project contributes to a safer and more climate-resilient environment through the installation of a separate sewer system and the redevelopment of the public domain.

Sustainable sewerage and road infrastructure works

On behalf of Aquafin, Fluvius and the City of Tongeren-Borgloon, BESIX Infra is installing a new separate sewer system in several streets of Kerniel. By separating wastewater and rainwater, the project improves water management and helps reduce flood risks.

At the same time, the existing road infrastructure is being renewed with new roads, footpaths and public spaces, creating a safer and higher-quality environment for residents and visitors.

Working in a complex environment

The project is being carried out in an existing village environment with limited space and numerous underground utilities. Through phased execution, specialised construction techniques and close stakeholder coordination, disruption is kept to a minimum throughout the works.
