The project, which is part of the Development Master Plan for the area surrounding Disneyland, targets five first-class environmental certifications: BREEAM Excellent, Energy+ Carbon-, Biodiversity Excellent, Well Building Institute Gold, and Cradle to Cradle.
Key figures: 40% renewable energy (photovoltaic), 22,000 m² built surface area, 20 months’ work
BESIX is taking care of all construction work, which includes earthworks, the structural and finishing works, civil engineering and foundation works.
BESIX will also landscape the site, with gardens and a wooded park, hosting a wide variety of local aquatic and terrestrial plants. Fed exclusively with recovered rainwater, these areas will not require any external water supply or drilling operation.
Dalkia Smart Building is in charge of the technical sides of the building. This covers heating, air conditioning and domestic hot water, lighting and electricity supply as well as the management of the building and its activities (access control, video surveillance and TBM (technical building management)).
Combining energy performance and renewable energies, the building will be supplied with more than 40% of green and local energy thanks to 1,100 m2 of photovoltaic panels installed on carports and a system to recover waste heat from IT installations and cold rooms.
