Through its third-party investment model, BESIX Power offers integrated solar installations and A to Z expert support for rooftops, sheltered structures, and ground or water-mounted systems. This model covers all costs related to development, construction, financing, and long-term operation, typically over 15 to 25 years.
BESIX Power’s recent projects in Belgium reflect its growing footprint and expertise. In Schelle, a 420 kWp solar plant was installed for BESIX Infra and BESIX Unitec headquarters, covering 3,700 m² of roof space and achieving 65% self-consumption. In Turnhout, truck parts specialist Beneparts-Remco invested in a 150 kWp solar system with smart EV charging, reducing CO₂ emissions by 811 tons over 20 years. In Lier, Heilig Hart Hospital now powers its operations with a 194 kWp solar installation and supports sustainable mobility with EV charging stations.
The company is also involved in medium to large-scale public-private partnerships. In Flanders, BESIX Power is part of a consortium supporting De Watergroep’s ambition to become energy-neutral by 2030 through floating and ground-mounted solar installations, wind turbines and energy storage with a total production capacity of 92 GWh per year. In Mont-Saint-Guibert, BESIX Power will develop in the pit of a former sand quarry a renewable energy hub with intermunicipal partners inBW and IPFBW, including 12,000 solar panels, battery storage, and fast charging infrastructure for trucks.
BESIX Power is now also taking important steps to strengthen its presence in France and in Greece, where it aims to support local authorities and companies in meeting their energy and climate objectives through customised renewable energy solutions.
