BESIX RED and Felix GIORGETTI Deliver New FERRERO International Headquarters in Luxembourg

BESIX Real Estate Development has just delivered the new global headquarters of FERRERO International Agribusiness Group, right next to the Grand Duchy’s international airport. The 29,500 sqm building, developed in partnership with Félix GIORGETTI, will offer the 1,200 employees a new work experience.

The FERRERO building is another mark of success for BESIX RED in the Luxembourg market, where our company is already well established and is visibly contributing to the country’s urban and economic dynamism.

BESIX RED is nowadays a key player in the Grand Duchy’s real estate market. Its earlier residential and office projects including SOHO (17,800 sqm in the station area - 150 dwellings), KONS (22,900 sqm of office space in the city center, housing the ING Luxembourg Head Office) and IMPULSE (6,450 sqm of office space in the Luxembourg station district, sold to SWISS LIFE) have integrated BESIX RED into the Luxembourg economy and gained recognition as a local company. With the delivery of the new FERRERO headquarters, BESIX RED adds another successful development to its pan-European portfolio.

Developed with its Luxembourg partner Felix GIORGETTI for the international agribusiness group FERRERO, this office building stands out both for its strategic location next to the airport and for its technical and architectural excellence. It also illustrates the developer’s ability to align interests and work cohesively to serve a common goal which is none other than customer satisfaction.

Seeking the optimal response to the FERRERO Group’s needs, the two partners joined forces and real estate assets to allow for a larger-scale development. The proposal attracted FERRERO, which acquired the project company and subsequently entrusted the project to the BESIX RED-Felix GIORGETTI partnership. The result matches the high ambitions of the client, who also contributed to the project’s success through continuous dialogue and sharing visions with the developers, in a spirit of co-creation.

At the architectural level, the design of the building was entrusted to PERRY WEBER and the interior architecture to the French branding and design agency LONSDALE.Conceptually as well as architecturally, the office building promises a new work experience, focusing on user interaction and well-being. Flexibility, space optimization, ergonomics and new ways of working have been brought together in a bold configuration.

The building consists of two wings interconnected by offset, complex-shaped interior walkways. The façade also stands out thanks to an immense entrance porch with no supporting columns. The heart of the building is an impressively high atrium, arranged on different levels and conceived as a central living and meeting area. Meeting the many architectural and technical challenges was facilitated by the expertise of and synergy between the BESIX Group entities and GIORGETTI.

The new FERRERO headquarters clearly prove BESIX RED’s willingness to contribute to Luxembourg’s urban and economic dynamism by means of conceptually, architecturally and technically innovative and audacious developments which aim to offer new experiences and thus participate in the well-being of the end-users. The same urban and human approach also marks the future ICÔNE project in Belval: 18,000 sqm of offices dedicated to the latest co-working trends, entrusted to the prestigious British architects Foster + Partners.
